Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are the new champions of the NBA. Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in the nail-biting Game 6 which ended 105-97 on Tuesday. It was a tantalizing finish to the 2015 NBA campaign. The nerve-cracking match saw a fierce competition for the NBA title. At the end Quicken Loans Arena chose the Warriors over the Caves. Warriors’ player celebrated the win frantically in the middle of the court. The Warriors won their last major title 40 years back and till Tuesday it was an unpleasant history. But the long waiting is finished now.

They have finally achieved their ultimate goal, securing the 2015 championship. Last time, they won something this big was in 1964 when they defeated the hot favored Baltimore Colts in the N.F.L. championship. Their coach Steve Kerr was drenched in the champagne rain when he entered the conference room. To him it was a moment of sheer happiness. The celebration had already begun at the locker room, and obviously they deserved that. LeBron James predicted something different, but his arrogant words died in vain.

Before the Game 6, he was confident to win the final by addressing himself as the best player of this era. But his words couldn’t contain Warriors from snatching the championship away from the Caves. James managed to finish the game with 32 points. Cavaliers boss David Blatt said that they played well but unfortunately defeated.

He added that the journey to the final had been a good experience. The Warriors totally outplayed the Caves in the final. Their determination to win the title compelled them to give their best. They played as a team and their mighty efforts were enough to stun the Caves. Andre Iguodala was formidable on the court scoring 25 points for the Warriors. He was the most valuable player of the final. Stephen Curry also scored valuable 25 points to seal the victory.
